I always hear about 'how crypto will help/save the developing world' in terms of bringing people into banking... Cool ideas in theory but what does that actually mean in application? I was in Cote D'Ivoire for a solid 10 days on a video project, so I decided to ask around about crypto and the money transfer industry. (This video was shot at the end of July 2017, right before the BTC--BCC hard fork.)
Here was the transaction for my BTC conversion at the end, btw: dac06505169803336dc3bf3d561ecb5b86071e78b257efc86e52c41c15e60a1a
MUSIC is "Bullet - Etoupke" by Almok
(she's from Togo and not Cote d'Ivoire, but at least it's Western Africa ;P)
